Pearls are gems formed in a mollusk, a small lustrous sphere of calcium carbonate that forms around a grain of sand. Pearls come in various shapes and sizes, some are perfectly round while others are irregular and we call these freshwater pearls. Over the years pearls have become the universal symbol of elegance. The word pearl has come to mean not just a gem but refers to a person or thing “somebody or something much valued’ somebody or something highly esteemed or valued”. Hence our motto “Every Girl Should Wear Pearls”. Everyone is special and when you wear your pearls you will resonate that special feeling to the world.
